Farm Animal Services

Herd Health - We offer medical care for sick or injured food animals including cattle, sheep, and goats.  Vaccinations, parasite control, and pharmaceuticals are also available at the clinic.  Pregnancy checks, castrations, and dehorning can also be scheduled.  We also offer the same list of specialized procedures for equines as listed above including ultrasonography for pregnancy detection and radiology for injured animals.


Camelids
(Llamas and Alpacas)

Dr. Ewoldt is pleased to offer medical services for camelids, including:

Herd Health - Advice on routine vaccinations and deworming, including prevention of meningeal worm, tetanus, and overeating disease. Pregnancy palpation and ultrasound are available.

Sickness exams - Emergency coverage includes administration of intravenous fluids, radiographs in case of injury, treatment for meningeal worm, treatment for choke, heat stroke, overeating disease, polioencephalomalacia, listeriosis, and "failure to thrive" syndrome.

Surgery - Routine surgical castrations, fighting teeth trimming, growth removal, microchip insertion are available. More complicated surgeries will be referred to specialists.
